Guys I switched over from the Apex to the Attack and at this point I absolutly hate the set up and steering. I have added Slydogs with 6 inch shapper bars and just did 1000kms in three days. I could nopt beleive how hard it turned in the corners, felt like a tank.

Guys please help me...

I need to know what kind of set up I need, such as front shocks in millimeters, limiter strap placement along with rear shock and transfer rod setting. We played with it all week and it got worse..My shoulders are killing me.

I am 6.0 feet and 190lbs, I drive aggressivly on the awsome trails of Quebec..

Lets see your set up advice please.

First lift the front and be sure the steering turns freely? If not you will need to take the mounting brackets off on the chaincase side and grease. I added zerks to mine. While your lubricating the joints do all the other steering mounts with a needle tip.

I am running Powderhounds with 8" Bergstrom Triplepoints,3/8" Skisaver and shimmed in the front of the ski bumper 3/8". Rear spring is set with 43mm of set in. Limiter strap is 1 hole shorter than stock. Transfer set 2 lines towards minimum from center of adjustment. Rails in the corners with virtually the same turning effort as the stock skis. I should probably check the length of my front springs. I have GYTR clickers on the front. They are set at 2-3 clicks from full soft on compression and 6 clicks from full soft on rebound. I have not adjusted the springs, but my A-arms are just slightly above level. Hope this helps ya' ;)!

Attak

I hated the stock setup on my attak so this year I started to change things. I loosened the front shock springs where I can push up on them when it is sitting on the ground. Pulled the limiter strap up two holes, set the transfer rod at minimum transfer. I did install a Big Boy spring and have the clip at the mid setting and the adjuster at soft. I can not say enough about this setup. I am very impressed vs stock. I am 6'4" and 260 lbs. I do have stock ski's but they work for me !! Go after it, you will be happy you did. Have fun ! Pat

Sounds about right.

Put a set of Snowtracker's on. It will bite in the corner's and take less arm effort to steer, It will also eliminate the darting/tracking. I was totaly amazed with these. They were $180 shiped to the Us, Should be less in Canada. I got them through Royal Distributing. 1(800)265-2970

13mm sway bar and run front springs as soft as you can without fear of spring falling out. Have front shocks revalved with lots of compression rate. Frank at Shocktech in Drayton, Ontario did mine and did an excellent job. If you decide to spend more money buy simmons skis . They not only work great once shimmed properly , they also widen out the stance 2" each side. It isw amazing how when set up this long track machine will flat corner. Good luck
