Has anyone moved the track and suspension down in the rear of a mono skid attak? I would like to increase clearance in the rear by an inch or two. After many hours of searching,I have not come up with any good solutions. The attak has a double bracket.....one for the skid mount, and one for the upper wheels. Both mounts would have to go down.actually the stock mount is one mount with two holes.

I have found in past sleds, that when more clearance is added between tunnel and track, that the deep snow performance is improved. This yam has less clearance than any past sled that I have had. I only go off trail maybe 25 percent of the time, but off trail improvements would be nice.I don't want to destroy the on trail with a huge lug, or a mountain length track. I just installed a cobra track, and thought that extra clearance for snow to escape may be a slight improvement as well. Based on the lack of replies,I assume that nobody makes brackets for these. I am not interested in doing a custom butcher job, only something that is designed for this sled. Thanks for asking.

What your taking about is the attack angle of the track how it hits the snow. The best way to improve it is by moving the skid back(needed a longer track) or a aftermarket skid(like the EZryde). By just lowering the rear mounts the force on the skis would be over kill for trail riding.

I moved the skid on my 06 back to a 144" and love it. Got a attack angle of 19* same as the MTX Nytro.

My buddy bought an attack with a 1.5" rip saw and it was studded. It had the rear of the skid move down and the axle set of whe wheel moved down. The pevious owner made some rectangle steel plates that boldted in the stock holes and had 3 diffrent adjustment hloes to go town to 2" of more clearance.the front skid arm was left in the stock location. You will get a slight less weight transfer this way but can dial more in it with the transfer rod.

Thanks apex 06, but actully I have found that if you allow the snow to shovel out of a tunnel faster, it seem to go better in deep snow. The upper wheels hold the track so tight to the tunnel, that the snow can not escape quick enough, and there for slows the movement in deep powder.( this is just my opinion). I also agree that the approach angle on these sleds is steep. I have read most of your post on you conversion, and I would think the steering effort on your mod would be much greater than just adding 1-2 inches of tunnel clearance. Otherwise I am sure your mod works awsome off trail. I appreciate the info, but I am looking for a simple bolt on mod. Not a real involved mod or expense. If no company makes what I seek, than so be it. I will be fine just the way it is. Again, thanks for your expertise, and replies.

A friend of mine did it. I will find out today what brackets he used.

He has an rx1 mountain rear suspension. Thats why the different drop brackets worked. Sorry.

Thanks for the replies guys. Pro 116, I thought about somthing like that, but I just don't wan't to cobble somthing up myself. Really looking for a bolt on mod by a company. Anyway, thanks for the replies guys.
