Hey guys, I've done a bit of searching on the forum and I can't quite seem to find what I'm looking for, so if I've overlooked something let me know.

Last year I bought a 2007 yamaha attak and have a question about it. This sled came with hauck exhaust on it and I'm worried about running the sled without a programmer? Has anyone out there ran their sleds for a while with exhaust and no programmer? Just wanting to make sure I'm not going to do any damage.

Just running the exhaust should not be a problem for reliability but to be sure call Haucks[since its their exhaust] and confirm that.
Another excellent person to talk to is Allen Ulmer and he can also hook you up with a programmer to enhance your performance. I have had very good experience dealing with Ulmer.

X2 you will be safe.

Okay thanks for the help guys. I just wasn't 100% sure as I was reading some posts on the nytro forum saying that if you change your exhaust it is neccessary to use a programmer or it can cause problems with the engine running it lean. Thanks again for the help!

I ran one for one season on my 06 Attak. I've since switched to an Excel under tunnel. Picked up around 200 rpm with the Hauck. No tuner and the sled ran crisper. I believe my sled was rich at WOT and both systems seem to have cured that. I pulled it after one season because it was LOUD!!!! Still have it in the garage lol!

Oh i know what your talking about when you say loud!! Lol my girlfriend won't ride behind me anymore because she says it gives here a headache lol but I'm young yet so it doesn't bother me lol

I ran mine for a season with no programmer.i have a full exhaust system with my home made ram air lid that i only cut at the front half of only 2 of the bumps with outerwears .it ran lean in the midrange,.have a pc3 now and Ulmer sent me a download for my set up.more power and safer.if your just running a Hauck silencer you should be just fine.love the way they sound ! :sled1:

Me 2 - I ran them on several rx's, 2 apexes and 1 attack without the controller. They are wicked cool but depending where you ride your gonna get a ticket.

I had air/fuel guages on 2 of the sleds and they never ran outside of ok parameters.

I do miss that howl. I was once riding with a buddy and he broke his w arm on the mono shock. I stayed with his sled and sent him for the trailer on mine. I could hear him at almost 5 miles away and it was 2 am. really made me think about it. Took it off for a rumble pack - never was as cool launching at a stop sign with guys taking a break trail side

I never have gotten a ticket (Off Road) on any off my Toyz! Dirtbikes,Quads,Buggys,Threewheelers,Mud Truck Etc for having loud exhaust yet! doing this stuff for years ,and if a get a ticket on my sled i will pay the fine and keep on making noise ! :sled1: thats why they say OFF ROAD use only! only ticket i got for loud exhaust was my mustang ,but i was on the street ,never gotten one on old R6 and its louder.! i just dont get it...
