up in canada for 3 days this past weekend with my 07 attak gt ,2 other 07 attak gt's and a 08 ltxgt. my sled went over 7000 miles this weekend. on day 2 of our trip my attak started pullling the skis efortlessly from a stand still or off of hills even cuising at 80. as much as i was enjoying this (my buddies were very jelous) i knew somthing was wrong. the front of my control rod for wieght transfer broke off. i unbolted it and rode it for the next day and ahalf. we stopped at a drag strip at the intersections of trail 75 and trail 55 in beauceville me and the guy with the studded ltxgt raced it wasnt even close ,my skis pulled up about 2 feet and i was gone. i have an ice ripper track on my sled. if this was left off the sled would it damage anything? i know its hard to steer when your skis arent on the snow but this was unbelievable fun.

I removed mine and put 500km on my sled without any problems.
I know many guys that run without them.I can't see any harm in not running them.

It puts more stress on the front W-arm, bottoming out easier. If it's not beefed up it will break from the added load all the time
i will probably put it back in and adjust it for max transfer.
