Attak Idler/Bogey Wheel Problems

The reason I am replacing my wheels is that when I was greasing my skid I noticed that one of the stock wheels on my 07 Attak wasn't spinning free ie the bearings are going south. I picked up the new oversize wheels, I beleive they are 5.5 mm larger diameter so 2.5 mm lower from the rail to track. So you are recommending not to use the larger OD wheel for inside the rails? Also to confirm the wheels that I purchased are not Yamaha but do have replaceable bearings and per my earlier post the stock bolts aren't long enough to catch the threads on the nylock nuts. I'd rather buy something that has replaceable bearings that is bolt on and go instead of having to screw around with having the mounts machined. I was able to pop the seal off the stock bearing and get them moving again, put some good grease in and put it back on. I will run it that way until I learn of a better aftermarket solution. Mucho Gracious!

The only ones you have to machine when using "6205" bearings are the INSIDE rear...I beleive the SPOKE model from YAM are using "6005" that DO NOT need any mod cuz the bearing is same as OEM..."6205" are WIDER better and much cheaper to replace and everyone carries them in stock, "6005" are harder to find, to confirm the bearing type look on the seal.

If you want my opinion I wouldn't oversize the rear inners, their already over stressed and take alot of abuse and by overseizing them you WILL stress your rails, the stock bolts will be fine with RED loctite.

solved

Installed 2 Yamaha accessory spoked wheels, still in one piece after 200 miles so hopefully problem solved.
