I noticed when rebuilding my 05 RX1 and my 06 Attak that the rear suspension front upper W arm bushings were different. The Attak had the cheaper thin black plastic bushings with a thicker pin and the RX1 had a nicer thick nylon type bushing with a little thinner pin. The RX1 bushings were in way better shape than the Attak ones so I turned down some smaller stainless pins and used the 05 RX1 bushings on the Attak. You can use your stock pins and have them turned down or buy the 05 bushings and pins for the 06-and up. The 05 bushings are alot better!

Sounds like a great idea. But are they any thicker on the outside where they contact the tunnel? The cheap bushings break easily when the suspension is taken out and reinstalled. I don't know how they could be thicker there and still fit inside the tunnel.

Do you know the exact size of the RX1 pins or what they should be turned down to?

I live in Grand Blanc. If you buy the 05 bushings you can size the pins to fit them. I'll mic em out later in the shop, don't remember the exact size

It may be a little tighter in the tunnel but there is some give there. I'll be putting it in later today, I'll let you know how tight it is. If they fit in the 05 they should fit the 06

The stock pins are .850" and the new ones I made are .758". I didn't put the suspension in yet, got tied up with the track and chaincase job today

thats what I'm doing...along with bearing repacking...after reinstalling the bearings I put the driveshaft bearing in the freezer for easier install...I was amazed at the torque needed to turn...now I'm removing and will be repacking all the bearings! DOH

It fits just as good as the stock one did, plenty of room, slipped right in!
