Attak will not start & codes?

Well I attempted to fire up the sled tonight and it didn’t want to start right away. It rolled over a bit and code 12 came back from 2012 lol. It eventually started and worked fine, stop and start with no issue multiple times. I had to move the sled over the summer and had a little difficulty getting it fired up then also. Seems like when the machine sits for long periods of time the crank sensor goes off line. I installed a new Yamaha sensor back in 2012 and have only put on approx 3000 miles since. Would it be possible the sensor has failed already? I will have to get out my meter and do some troubleshooting next time.
Has anyone experienced this type of issue before with the siting and no start?
