I have a Bender Racing Heel Clicker Clutch Kit from my old RX1 that I want to install on my Attak. Bender Racing & Heel Clicker say that the clutch and springs are fine, but Bender Racing is not sure if the Helix will work or not. Has anyone tried this?

I had a bender heel clicker clutch kit in my rx1,i installed it on my 06 apex, works good, the helix will fit, yamaha clutches never changed for the last 20 years.

Did you notice a performance change over the stock setup?
Did your engine tach up to 10600 RPM's? RX1's were setup to spin @ 10200.

Its perfect at 10700 rpm, pulls hard too........to bad i had to leave for work in Africa, didnt do much testing with another apex.

Apex/Attak Clutching

good to know that someone has just bolted it in without having to "tune" the clutch weights. Now if we'd get some snow, i'll try it out.

I tried a Heel Clicker in my 03 RXI it reved 10,800 and lost all power and torque compared to stock.Had 2 dealer mechanics try adjusting it without any luck.It was advertized no adjustment needed just install and go.YA RIGHT :o| It's been collecting dust for 8 years!!! :die

Hey Cat Hunter, you may want to go to the Heel Clicker website. I would guess you had to many weights (WASHERS) on the weight tip screws. According to the site, you should have no weights (WASHERS) on any of the clutch weight screws in a stock RX1 unless you added a special aftermarket Helix.
