Guys i tried to fire up my attak last night for the first time in a couple days it was -24*c and no way could i get this thing to idle it would catch a couple times but that was it. This is the coldest i tried to start it since i had my motor job done last spring so will the 10:1je pistons make it harder to start? or i wonder is another gems box on the way out. i'm running pump gas with meth and i never had this problem with the stock pistons even at -30-35*c. i do have a coolant heater installed but i never used it before looks like i'm gonna have to start.

Low Compression def makes it harder to start in Sub Zero Weather.

Could Be the Gems box also, bypass it to start it up and after it is warm you can plug it back in.

In Sub Zero Weather the Battery Voltage drops substantailly, enough to not fire the injectors with the Gems installed.

Ted.

Thanks for the reply ted i'll unplug the gems box and see what happens its only -10 today so it might start right up

just tried unpluging the gems and it still won't start i'm waiting for the garrage to heatup now hopefully it will start then. i did run the battery pretty low but i put the booster cables on my apex and it still would not fire up. it will pop while i'm cranking it and smoke comes out the exhaust.

Trying to fire but your fuel is like ours with ethanol , and low compression , the fuel does not want to vapourize below -30.

Pour hot water across the throttle bodies , make sure the battery is up , or boost , away it will go !!

We had similar problems last year and also this year ! Garbage fuel !!!

You may have it flooded by now, with the low voltage and possibly poor fuel (or race fuel) try to unplug fuel pump and crank to dry out, check your oil level (make sure you did not load up crankcase with fuel) You may have to pull plugs to dry out. ;)!

It was flooded :o| i pulled the plugs heated them up put it back together and it fired right up. I went for a ride and it seemed to work perfect :-o thanks for the replys guys, man i love this sled... now i just wish the mtx had a little boost it certainly seems underpowered after riding the attak
