Is the Attak worth $300 more than the apex???
I guess I should say, should I but the Attak over the apex...????
I do lots of high speed trail touring (70-100mph)
Lots of high speed lake running
I'm 250lbs
and I like to hang it out in corners....I'm coming off a F7 128"
And in the same Question is the GT worth the extra $600 my dealer is quoting me????

I would definately go with the attak. Traction is way better, the ride is better, it is more predictable and stable in straight line running, and they are just as fast despite the longer length. Attak rocks!

I came off a 2004 Firecat EXT with a 144" track, and I loved the way it handled bumps and straight-away stability, but I thought it gave up too much in hard cornering. However, the short tracks were too wiggly for me on straights and under initial hard acceleration.
When I started looking at new sleds, I knew I wanted a shorter track, and the 136" track was a superb compromise between the long track and the short track. Although I've been less than thrilled with the amount of setup needed to get the Attak to handle right, it's been a great handling sled and I wouldn't trade it for a short track.
For what it's worth, just my $0.02.

That's an absolute! Attak is the way to go. $300 is a deal IMO for the benefits of the long track. You won't be disapointed.

If I had to do it over again I would buy an Attak and find a set of Fox Floats for the front. I have no complaints about my Apex, but why settle on a 121" when the 136" hooks better, is just as fast if not faster on top, and doesn't give up much if anything in cornering (if set up correctly). My next Yamaha will be a 136" with boost!!

I would also have to give a vote for the ATTAK. I bought one for my wife last winter and of course she wanted me to ride it for the break-in and I fell in love with it and I'm coming off a 700 Polaris XCSP with SLP pipe, can, airhorn, flowrites, and clutching, geared down, stretched to a 136" and running the Camoplast ripsaw, with Slp powderpro skis. I can confidently say another ATTAK is going to find a home in my trailer.
