Hey guys, justed picked up a pair of these gloves. There's not alot to them, they are very thin and lightweight and I'm wondering how good they work in EXTREME temps. I have always been a fan of GoreTex and know first hand how good this stuff is.
I hear alot of Mountain guys swear by them but Mountain guys don't need real warm gloves as they spend alot of time sweating through movement and from my experience in the mountains, temps don't get too too cold.
Here in Ontario, it's not uncommon to have temps from -20C down to
-45C for days at a time. Warm gloves are a must and my hands tend to be my biggest problem.
I have gauntlets which I use most of the time but I would love to be able to ride without them......think I made the right choice? My other option were the electric Gerbings.

I have been using the Klim togwotee now for two seasons and I love them. But for extremely cold temps they are probably not the best. Like you said they not very thick, so they don't have the most insulation. Maybe check into Gauntlets for the handlebars. Mine work awesome.

My girlfriend and I have these gloves, she wears them when she comes riding with me, however, I usually wear my old Kombi Lobster Claws, the Klims being mainly back ups. We had to stop riding earlier than expected several times because her hands were freezing, and although she does get cold easily (as most women do), I feel the lack of heat in her Phazer FX handwarmers contributes a lot to this problem. IMO, the gloves can only work as well as the heat supplied to them.

I going to give these Gore-Tex Gloves and Mits a try.
Both Mits and Gloves are on sale for $39.99. Save $10.00.

I was happy with Cabelas Gore-Tex Motorsports gloves last year.
Coupled with gauntlets, they should be a good combination.
Hope this helps!

This is great info. I looked at the Togwotee's last year and didn't go for them just because they seemed like they would still be too thin for the really cold days. I've been leaning towards the Choko leather claws or something similar!

I may try the cabelas. They look good. I will stop by to see if they are in stock at the store.
