I have one for my sled and one for my bike. I ran leads directly from my battery and installed a female rca type connector on my dash. I also cut off the clips on the charger and put a male rca connector on the wires so I can make a fast external connection. This also doubles as a point to plug in my electric shield. The connectors are available at radio shack.

I have a couple of those chargers also, you can't beat the price. It also states in the manual that this charger is good for gel batteries like we have.
