Awful C Clips

Why in all that is holy are there endless c clips without pin holes? I destroyed the one on the jackshaft chain side...just awful.

Did i see someone was making a tool for these?....if so i NEED one lol

Skip getting the tool and get the NEW circlips that have the NORMAL holes.

I agree.
I bought the tool but even with it they are a pain in the #*$&@ to remove.
While you have it apart, update all the retaining rings to the new style and you never have to deal with it again.

I've found that using a ratchet strap across the running boards helps a lot as well. By squeezing the tunnel together with the strap, it takes the tension off of the snap ring and makes them easier to remove/install.

Sure does.
On my sled you can not reassemble the chain case without a ratchet strap pulling the tunnel together.
The clip on the bottom sprocket just will not fit.

I looked up 2016 and seems only the brake c clip has holes...what about all the bearing ones? where do i find them?

All the chain case clips have holes now.

perfect thank you sir......all 4 shocks are off, rears look to be intact so ill be giving you them all to refresh and revalve.....im going to sturgon bay for tdi fest labour day weekend (sept 5th) if you want me to drop them off or i can ship them.

Really Sturgeon Bay has TDI Fest? Like Volkswagon TDI? Cool. If you could wait it would save a lot of $. Shipping to me is cheap from Canada but getting it back is crazy expensive. Last time was $70!

Yep this year its going to be held in sturgeon bay wi ....volkswagon tdi fest. We have a big lake side house rented for the weekend....My tuner wants me to come out with him as i have one of the only tdi touaregs with a bigger hybrid turbo around...should be fun.

so ship them down to you...and pick them up on my way home your saying would be best?
