Has anyone ever tried to put an axle and drivers from an 11 Apex into an 07 Apex? the part numbers are different so I wonder if this would work.

The 11's have an additional bearing added to the chain case cover to support the end of the drive axle. I believe this design change came out on the 2010's.
The 11's have a stub shaft bolted on to the end of the drive axle to pickup up this extra bearing. Perhaps without the stub shaft it may work in a 2007 model.
It would be nice to layout the two axles out side by side and see what the differences are. The 2010/11 is definitely a thicker drive axle then the 07's.

I know the 11 XTX drive shafts have two sets of drivers on them (internal and external). I'm not certain if the 128 sleds have the same drive shaft or not.

Your right, I had to cut the end off (chain case side), drill and tap the shaft.

then it worked? that would be a great find for anyone who still has an early model for extos and for stronger shaft.Teamblue4 said:Your right, I had to cut the end off (chain case side), drill and tap the shaft.
