Thinking of a 136" stretch for a -09 RTS SE.

Any experiences/opinions on the pros&cons of each track, on trail as well as off trail?

I kinda like the Challenger due to the 16" width. Foot print should be within a few % off the 144" XTX.

Re mods requiered to fit 16", I've searched the forum and learned that some rivets had to be grinded and a few bolts replaced with a flat(er) type?
Anyone knows if there is a detailed write up done by someone who went with 16 inch wide track?

thanks

I used a challenger 2" on my SE stretched to a 136, used the notched track so i didn't have to remove my tunnel protectors.

Anyways, basically the same track and the 1.75 lite and it was a huge improvement off trail, but I just used it for out in wyoming. On trail i dont think either is going to last very long. For serious off trail I would recommend a 144 at least...the 136 worked but I got stuck a lot. The nytro liked to dig itself its own grave if I wasn't really careful.

The challenger lite has good trail manners but so does the backcoutry. A riding buddy has 3500 miles on his challenger lite and only one missing lug. Most of those miles are SW Wisconsin miles.

As for the rivets most people turn the problem rivets around. Grid the rubbing rivets off and put them in from the inside of the tunnel. (head on the inside of the tunnel)
