After putting on about 75 miles tonight I went to back into the garage for the evening and I noticed my backup beeper isn't working anymore. Anyone else have this happen to theirs???? I don't even know where to begin to look for it. Guess it's time for a service manual.

The Siren is located on the driver side just above you foor well , you have to take the side cover off and then the plastic that the reverse lever goes threw you will find it there its round and prabally come unpluged. You may be abally to reach up there and see if its pluged in. You might like it that way. I know if mine stoped I would lose anysleep.

On the Rage [not sure they are all the same] the switch is on the reverse lever linkage . Just open the hood and you can see it. Turn on the gauges and lights holding the thumb warmer down and turning on the key for 10 sec. Then you can test the switch by working the reverse or with your finger.

If you check all that and it still does not work than check the fuse

The fuse is a 10a - the second one from the end and the only active 10 a in the box. There is a spare 10a by the side.

If you need parts, you can have the one off my RX. I hate that thing! I had it disabled until Yamaha did my motor...they must have hooked it back up. I have a SLED, not a dump truck!

Jim, I remember someone telling a story of one of his buds putting his sled in reverse at a rest stop when he wasn't looking. No back up horn...So he starts her up and to show off a bit nails the gas.....You can kinda see what happened

Well mysteriously it started working again by it's own. Something must be loose but I wanted to ride tonight instead of dealing with it.

That sounds like an idiot rider not looking behind him. A truck beeper on a sled won't make riders any smarter.

The beeper is there to warn you (the rider) that it is in reverse. Safety feature for all. Better safe than sorry.
