Going on a bagger trip soon and need to carry cloths etc. I already have the Yamaha luggage bag in the back. I want to place my back pack between my legs and cinch it down, but it would cover the gas cap on my 2011 Apex. Is covering the gas cap going to be a problem?? (besides taking off the backpack when getting gas) Anybody ever have any problems doing this?
No issues covering the gas cap. The tank vents out behind the secondary. I have a tank bag that cover the entire tank. Never an issue.

What Steiner said. 28,000+ miles on 2 sleds with the Yamaka tank bag. Never an issue. I used the sport bags, tank bag and ziplock freezer bags in the nose on my 06 for every bagger trip I've taken. Packed for a week lol!
