Well, I finally Did it. Over the weekend I rode a 07 Attack GT and had to get one. So today I dumped my 01 XCR 800 and got the Attack GT
Anyone want to buy my old sled? Let me know. LOL
So any tips or tricks I should know about for this new sled? I pick it up Friday night before I go up. I can't wait.

Planning on putting 216 1.40 studs down the middle. I weigh 270 any cluching tips would be helpful.

RandomAttack, you are a traitor! Welcome to the blue side! Enjoy your new sled!

Welcome! Good to have you here.

A friend of mine is getting ready to do the same thing so there may be another Polaris listed, an '02 Pro X. His sled seems to be a very uncomfortable sled that takes a lot of wrenching. He's a died in the wool Yamaha hater from way back but he's seriously considering an Apex GT.

After listening to him holler all the way back to the cabin last week I made yet another dig about maybe it being time to make the switch, and he stopped at a dealership to talk to the salesman.

Thanks guys. I don't think I will regret it one bit. Just from what I experienced on Sunday, I"ll be very happy. Sure I may not have the fastest sled, but will definitely have the coolest. What do you guys think about studding? Right now I'm planning on putting 216 down the middle, 1.40 Extreme Max with the Tall nuts on them.

Welcome!!! Great sled.

Welcome i dumped my confusion, and my xcsp800,plus my 99 xcr800 for 03 rx1 and last year an attak, but now apex rtx, just love it.

Welcome, 216 studs is way overkill. I use 144 studs on the stockers including the outside bands. All two hole plates. On the Turbo sleds I run 180 and have to mix in some single holers to get max traction lines. Mike Knapp#17

studs

take mike's advice he knows what's it takes, i use 108 down the center and it's find for me but i don't whole shot at 20 roll i can't break it loose, in the cornors i maybe could use a few more, we need more people like mike he
is very helpful, i followed his racing days but never met him nice to have
him on our great site.

Welcome Random,
Free steak dinner after every ride now that you have kicked the 2 smoke habit.

:4STroke:

Randomattack, welcome to the darkside. I went from Polaris to Yamaha, then back to Polaris (gimmie a break, if I could have gotten a SX 600R for what I got my XC Id be riding one of those now) and have regretted making the switch back to Polaris ever since.
Once youve ridden a Yamaha, it makes you wonder why you rode all that other stuff for all those years. :yam:

Hey guys, I'll have to admit that I rode Arctic cats for 20 years and just switched last year. Seems like a good group of guys here. :jump:
