Ball joint questions?

So since my NCI lower ball joint rings wore out and they are discontinued are there better/updated stock Yamaha ones than the 2009's? Are the 2010-13 ball joints any better and will they fit an 09?

Looks like the 2012 has a different part #. Are they better and will they work on a 2009?

So far for me the updated ones have lasted twice as long as the NCI ones did. NCI lasted just under 400 miles...

will the new lowers install into the the 09's? I don't see why not but want to check.

It looks like they will work. I will let you know for sure when I get them. The 09 part # is 8GK23579-01-00 2 pcs. The 2010 #s are 8HK23579-00-00 2 pcs and 8HK-23754-00-00 4 pcs. The bolts and washers have the same part #s. My NCI kit lasted about 1,500-2,000 miles.

Let us know what part number you go with and how they fit, My NCI have 4000 miles on them and going strong, they can be tightened up each year. Great product and idea, shame they stop providing them.
