ball joints

I hear alot of compaints about the ball joints. When these are replaced under warranty is it just the ball or does the whole control arm need to be replaced?

Just the lower ball joints. You will know if yours are bad, take the weight off the front end and see if you have play front and backwards by moving the spindles.

Just the lower ball joints go bad? So is the whole a arm replaced or just the ball?

Just the joint. There is a snap ring on the bottom.
