Any thoughts on what can draw down a battery on a stock 08 Nytro key off kill button off
Battery checked out 2 years old
Mike

Bad cell in the battery, have you had the battery load tested at Batterys Plus or Battery Mart? Sometime when the stator goes out it can short out the battery too but you can test that by running the sled and see if the sled puts out 14 v or if its putting out 12 v or less when running then its done.

I will check the volts the battery checks good thanks

Don't you have to keep rpms about idle (like2500rpms), mine is only like 11.9 at idle, but goes higher with rpms, is there a point when stator kicks in? LARRY

Yes you should rev it up when checking but if its only 11.9 its not even charging the battery. You should see 12 volts with the batter sitting on the bench.

Yes when I check volts no running it has over 12volts, but when I start sled and idle at 1000rpms its only showing like 11.9 volts, goes up to 12 when holding idle higher, Iam worried stator not charging enough, thanks Larry

I will do some checking to be 100% but I had an issue like this before and it was the stator. A car will push almost 14 volts to maintain the system when running and to keep the battery charged.
