I have never personally replaced bogey wheel bearings or drive shaft bearings. I am planning to do this on my daughters sno scoot. I was able to get the front bogey wheel bearings out.

My question is, should I buy Yamaha bearings to replace the ones I take out or can I get bearings from somewhere else cheaper and still get good quality?

Thanks

There should be markings on the bearings themselves marking the size and model. Any place that sells bearings may have them and just in case bring you old ones to match up. I am pretty sure they are just a generic size and nothing that is special to yamaha.

do not buy cheap bearings. NTN is high quality

write down the bearing number for each wheel size

remove any grease that comes with and replace it with good water proof grease

use carb cleaner blow them out with air compressor
