Been searching for a friend all day!! (Didn't make it).

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Our sport is truly an amazing sport but it definitely exposes us to dangers. You can never be over-prepared for a things to go bad. Sorry to hear it man:(

Just an update. I just came from the hospital and talked to Rogers wife and other son. Brian is doing alot better and should be home in a couple days hopefully. They are all in good spirits and doing fine. All Brian said is that it was "intense". He said they did leave the sleds Sunday Morning when they got in trouble, because they thought they could get back to the truck. He said the snow was up around their chest and it was just to deep to struggle through. They did try starting a fire and the wind would not even allow a gas soaked stick to burn. Basically between exhaustion and hypothermia things just went south from there. I told them about all the thoughts and prayers and they were very appreciative of everyone.

Very sad...our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. Way to early in the season to hear sad news like this!

God Bless them and you. We can not be careful enough.

To love and Care hurts but life would be worthless with out the pain that comes with the joy of love.

God Bless Yamadoo

Well I'm sure that if one person learns something from this incident and spares their family this sort of pain then it's not all bad. My deepest condolences for their loss.

I now carry enough supplies for two nights out, a Rino 530 GPS/Radio, cell phone and a set of snowshoes mounted to the tunnel extension. I learned from it!
