I was looking at my clutches for the first time today and noticed my belt sits down inside the secondary a little.I'm used to 2 strokes and was wondering is this normal. The owner's manuel states it can be down inside 0.5mm.

If it isnt bogging at take off I wouldnt worry too much. These yamahas arent sensitive at all like some other makes as far as deflection goes. Make sure when you check it , on the stand, spin the back clutch by hand a few times and see if it comes up some more. Mine sometimes doesnt return quite to the very top on the stand but playing with it in the driveway it always goes back up.

typically if it sits abit high(like new belt will) it will squeel....these do tend to sit about LEVEL rather then ABOVE like the DOOS.....level always seems right for my rtx.
