Belt life

Just bought an 05 with 3800 klms. The belt on the machine and the spare are right around 30 mm. Yamaha says the wear limit is 32.5. Is this normal for 2 belts to be worn below yamaha specs in 2400 miles? I suppose it depends how you ride but I have seen where some guys have got a lot more out of one belt. Thanks for the replies.

both of those belts are worn out, and should be trashed. the 8dn belts should last thousands of miles, as long as clutches are are in spec for offset and center to center.

8dn is the 1st three digets in the yamaha belt part number.
