Yup, only these 3 mounts
I found that one I aligned the motor, it wouldnt stay aligned, and literally, I had the sled apart on 30 different occaisions trying to get it right, including removal of primary, etc.. Long story short, couldnt get it right no matter what, even with torque limiter, and ended up buggering my adjusters to the point where they dont work and I blew like 5 belts in deep powder, yup, $$$$

Re: belt
You can get a zillion miles on an OEM belt... But, you will lose 3-5mph on top end from a belt that is over 1000-1200 miles... It makes the sled slower out of the hole as well..
Blue Dave said:yamadog1 said:what do you wash belt with, some use hot soapy water, i use comet
with a brush it cleans it like new, also i might be nuts but i change my
belt every 1200-1500 miles, for $55 it's a piece of mind.
Yamadog, do you want to sell some of your 1500 mile belts? LOL! I have heard of guys getting at least three times that distance out of the belt but I guess that it depends upon how you ride. I had 2500 miles on my original belt but a long river run at full throttle in deep snow the other weekend did mine in.

Do you need a puller to remove the primary clutch?

kviper, yes I did replace both springs before the season.
I pulled off the secondary tonight to check things over. I replaced the spring with my old one to see if it made any difference and it did not.
My rpm's are way off. If I am at 20mph and pin it in heavy snow the rpms climb to 7,000-7,500 and then slow down until it reaches 10,500-10,800.
From a stand still on heavy snow the rpm's hit 9 and return to 8 and start climbing. Seems I remember I should be hitting 10 right off the bat.
When testing the other night I would let off the throttle at about 80mph and slow down to about 20mph. At this point if I blip the throttle she squeals, I then locked the track up to find out where the belt was and it was probably 1" below in the secondary

Did you by any chance check to see if your exhaust sheild over the flex pipes is bent from the motor twisting on the pto side? Just look with a flashlight from the oil tank side and look near above the chaincase.
Mine is all bent outa shape and im almost certain is a broken motor mount or the rubber took a crap.

My Attak and Rx1 were both starting to grenade the belts after 1,000-1,200 miles (9,000 miles on the sleds)Noticed on the track stand that the belts were not coming back to the top of the secondary when I let off the gas. Changed both secondary springs and the problem was solved. When those springs got that worn out it was not only not coming to the top of the secondary, it was also creating a ton of belt/clutch heat from slippage. The 8dn belts were violently coming apart like I have never seen before, but this is the most miles I have ever put on my sleds.

Taking the sled in to a performance shop next Tue. to have it examined. If they figure anything out I will be sure to post it.
