This only happens when I stop by braking hard and locking the track..the belt does not get all the way up in the secondary so when goin back forward its kinda still in high gear. that is the only way my belt screech and its totally normal i think

I experience the same as Martin. Sometimes I get slippage from snow entering the clutch area, our snow is so granular that it finds its way in, but it was only a major problem on one ride...maybe the panel wasn't seated properly but I couldn't see a difference.

Twice in 1000 miles I have experienced belt screech for like a second, on take off.

I viewed my belt last night, I was going to install a new one and keep this as the spare but it looks like new still........

I've had the belt screech twice now. Both at takeoff and on the same day which was a very warm day with lots of new powder. checked the belt and it still looks brand new though with about 700km on now.

Guys you all need to check the front motor mount next to the primary clutch. Its under the air box and they are comming loose. You will probably find the nut is missing and the bolt is ready to fall out. Yamaha uses a insert that is threaded to adjust how the motor sits in there and I believe the L.H. reinforcing panel that it screws into is bad. The threads on the panel are oversized so it is collasping, hence it leaves the bolts loose and it will vibrate apart. Besure to check it and call Yamaha to complain. I had to shimm mine with washers until I get it too a dealer and make them fix it correctly!
Thanks Wayfast
