I have a 08 nytro and recently my belt slips and squeals when im in deep snow. On the trail it seems fine. Belt height is fine. Does it with an old belt or new.

Thanks for the help

Mine has been doing it also. What I noticed was the bottom plastic where the bolts are, the plastic is gone. Ripped away. So the plastic acts like a scoop. Had to order new plastic and new push rivets. :o|

Don't bother with the cheap plastic skid. Go mountain tech. I did this year and am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Great product with a factory fit and finish.

I had the same problem last year. Bottom plastic skid fell off somewhere on the trail. It worked fine on hard packed snow but as soon as I hit powder it slipped like crazy.

Same thing happened to me as the above post. Snow is still getting in on mine ocasionally though. I know the rear of the skid plate is letting snow in and I'm not sure if it's getting wet with snow/steam or if it's getting some snow in the bottom cover. Thankfully doesn't do it very often. I know the signs right away so I just slow up and put around a bit till it dries out again. Not the best situation if you're crossing water or trying to climb a hill though.

I do have the mountain skid plate. The long one. It still gets snow in the clutches.
My lower side plastic got ripped up. The one that holds the front of the clutch guard on. It was acting like a scoop. Just check all your bolts and push pins.
