:4STroke: I NEED SOME ADVICE....I RIDE HARD AND I AM ON THE THROTTLE WIDE OPEN, BUT I HAVE A TENDENCY TO BLOW BELTS. IS THERE ANY THREADS ON HEAR ON HOW TO CHECK CLUTCH ALIGNMENT, AND WHAT ARE YOUR OPINIONS ON THE TOUGHEST BELT ON THE MARKET. :rocks:

Your blowing Stock 8DN yamaha belts? If thats the case then you have a major problem. These belts are some of the strongest belts in the snowmobile world. They have no problem holding up in the mountains turning 162-174 2.5/3" tracks with 250-400 HP.

When you get a new belt wash it in hot soapy water, then give it a min of 20 miles of easy driving. Eric

make sure that the clutches are clean an they are straight an the offset it right next wash your belt in hot soapy water with a brush, an the most import thing is to break in the new belt this should help you a lot.

6000 km and counting on my viper lots of playing and wot. washing with soapy water and a proper break-in worked for me too. do it all the time now.

Try it you'll see how dirty a new belt is. Use hot water too
