Did the hand warmers for the RX-1 hook up to the connectors and can you use the hand warmer button on the apex to adjust the heat level.

I also put the ski savers and 6" tripple points and shimmed my mountain apex skis on my Attak. The results? I love it so far. steering effort was greatly redused and darting seem about 80-90% gone. I have not hit the twisty's yet to know if she pushes with this set up, but I will tomorrow. I can not believe the way these carbides turn on concrete....It is amazing. I need more time to say this is "THE SET-UP" just because it is so different than the 9" shapers I was running before. I think the concave sides on the shapers was adding to hard steering effort. I may try the shapers again with the ski savers and see what it feels like. That squirlly feeling under braking or slowing down that I would sometimes experience is gone completely.

Do you recommend 1/4 or 3/8 inch...
I think the darting is reduced mostly bi the ski savers...

Ok Question here: I can figure out which carbides to buy from Bergstrom in addition to the ski savers, but is shimming? I am riding this weekend in the UP and I plan on changing out the 8" carbides with these Bergstrom and ski savers if they help that much, but can I easily do this shimming thing when I remove and replace the carbides? Will the results be similar if I just put on the carbides and ski savers?
Some helpful advice or pictures of what a shim is would be great! Thanks,
Jon

When you purchase your carbides, ask Scott for some shims. Nicely made and he includes a small stainless screw for them. To answer the question about Skisaver on c@a pros, i just picked up new ones yesterday and Scott supplied a 1/4 saver. When I removed my old ones the keel on my ski was perfect. About 2500 miles on them and still in good shape! Any other questions you have, ask Scott when you call.
