hi I have a 2006 apex ER I just got my Bergstrom triple points in
However I have not installed them yet. Im not able to keep my sled where I live. I have a few questions I need to bring all the tools along to do the install what do I need to install new rubber on skis these replace stock ones? I notice there is a shim on the rubber as well as a "S" on the oppsite side on top of it. There is also spacers on skegs both placed on the same mounting holes with one left open. Dose the flatter part of skeg face the back? Thanks in advance as I'm not much of a wrench.

The carbides will only go on one way... the holes will not line up the other way.... but the hook part goes forward. The little shim goes under the heal of the rubber. Flatter part of the ski safer faces back and it get mounted in the front holes. All you need is the 14mm wrench and 14 mm socket and ratchet to pull the ski to change rubber. Not sure on the nut size on the carbides, could be a 1/2 or 9/16 or the 14 mm work.

You might meed to replace the cotter pins on the 2 ski bolts. They can sometimes be reused again though. Torque to 35 ft.lbs I believe. You don't need to wrench down too hard on the carbide nuts, otherwise the ski savers can warp around the host bar.
