Hi Guys, just wondering if there is a thread somewhere that bergstrom monitors? I know we have some vendors on the site somewhere, but I didn't see one for bergstrom. I ordered something 2 weeks ago and was supposed to get last week but never did. Not looking to complain, I understand being busy, but I can't get a hold of them since the line is perpetually busy, and no response to email. LOL All I want to know is whether I should take sled out of garage and get her on the trailer.
Like I said not complaining about the company, just looking for some answers. Anybody have any idea how to get a hold of them?

ROFL Wouldn't it figure, I post a question and as soon as I submit I call the Number again and I finally talk to someone. Apparently his carbide manufacturer is late on the shipment and will be another 10 days. Again, was not looking to bash them at all, just looking for a timeframe

Gee, sounds awfully similar to my dealings with Bergstrom.
Upon ordering, was told "expecting shipment end of week, should arrive in 2 weeks." 3 weeks later, I email and receive the response "that they are waiting for a shipment of carbides" again.
All in all, it took 5 1/2 weeks from the day I ordered them and receive them.

Here is the critical question, was it worth the wait? Which carbides did you get? I bought the triple point carbides...

I tried - phone, e-mail - for two weeks. Finally talked to Scott and ordered the 8 inch triples. Supposed to be in yesterday for my cancelled trip leaving today. Nothing yet. BTW, 8 inch singles and finally beat at 4,000 miles. Killer product, great guy, just a shame it has to be like this. I hope they come soon because I am going to Canada next week and will be upset if I don't have them by then. Fingers crossed!

Well, he sounded on the phone like it's been a long season already. Sounds like he is a small operation and I am all for supporting him. He said that the promised shipment of carbides that he was supposed to get was delayed another 10 days. My only wish was that he wouldn't have said I will ship them early last week. I took my sled off the trailer to be ready for them when they came. Oh well, I don't mind waiting at all, especially for a quality product.

Got thru on the first try and the product arrived 10 days later as stated by Scott. Now to see if they work as good as advertised 8) 8)

Sorry to say but no, they weren't worth the wait.
Broke a bolt and split a ski saver in the process.
Needless to say, I returned them because I didn't want to wait another 5 or so weeks for them.
Have a look see.

thats not a big deal you should have just took it somewhere for a quick weld...I broke one of mine because I didn't tighten it very well and it wiggled loose and broke a stud off...took it and welded it. GREAT carbides and I bet Scott would have sent you a check to pay for a spot weld to repair it ...easy fix. :ORCGrimm said:xprtrpr said:Here is the critical question, was it worth the wait? Yes, I could of had the bolt repaired, but my faith in the product had already dwindled due to 2 of the products breaking as well as the failed promise to deliver in a timely manner. Also, how do I know that the other bolts hadn't been as poorly welded as the one that broke? What if it had happened on a trail? Scott's response was to send the product back for his inspection, and then he would send out a new runner. No offer of him paying to having it repaired.
If I had returned the runner for a replacement, I probably would not have received the replacement yet. That's placing the order November 15th.
In the end, I am very happy with the Deuce bars from Studboy
