looking for some advice/information on the best 144" skid setup. I ride 90% trail and some off trail in quebec. i have a 2009 nytro xtx and I am currently running the following setup I have stock skid with Star suspension kit & billet pull rods, custom fox float (as per Star specs) center shock, stock rear shock, 4 wheel rear axle, excel o/s 8 wheel kit plus 2 Yamaha marginal snow kits added.

front end was stock and it all worked fairly well off trail and worked really well on groomed trail....it would rail corners amazingly well.

problem lies here/now I picked up some race take-off fox float x evol shocks for the front....which I installed end of season. they are amazing and now the front end is so good the sled no longer feels balanced, have to the skid upgrades also adding a skinz 42" front end this summer also.

I currently have selection down to the following options at this time (open to suggestions): ZX2 SKID WITH 144" EXTENSIONS, FAST M10 W2 AIR, CUSOM AXIS PRO SERIES REAR SHOCK (high/low compression & rebound adjustable) shock upgrade into current skid configuration. I am not looking for doing big wheelies with it. just looking to be able to get the carry front end to over bumps when I want. I like the transfer of the Star linkage kit offers.

note: I contacted timebersled about their kit into stock rails and John had concerns about durability using it hard trail riding conditions "PROBABLY NOT THE NOT WHAT IS WAS LOOKING FOR, AND WOULD WANT TO SELL ME SOMETHING I MIGHT HAVE ISSUES WITH" appreciate honesty on his behalf.

INFORMATION I AM LOOKING FOR IS:

-how is transfer?
-how is it in stutter bumps?
-how is big bump absorption?
-any issues with skid?

sorry for really long reply but, want to make sure I get the right unit the first time.

thanks....

PS.... I have read (pretty sure) everything on here on suspension over the last couple months.
