Hi everyone! I'm brand new to TY and think its great. Very informative and helpful. Its great to see so many Yamaha riders willing to take the time and effort to help out with any questions/issues anyone might have.Well heres my question. I'm looking to install an 8 inch rear idler wheel kit on my 03 RX-1 Limited. 121 rear suspension. I mostly lake ride and usually have to cross a couple roads to get there. I think the 8 in. plastics would be the way to go, but not sure which kits come with everything . ( axle, wheels, bearings, etc.) Any info/feedback would greatly be appreciated. Thanks for the help. And looking forward to becoming involved with TY.

Correct size for RX1 is 7" (8" won't fit). Best bet for replacement wheels is a set of 8K2-47530-00-00 (wheel - aluminum with rubber), 99009-47500-00 (circlip), 93306-20417-00 (bearing, standard 6204). You may want a set of 3 if you want them all to be the same, but you only require two since the CENTER wheel bearing is replaceable.

don't use an offst axle if you ride hard people are breaking them under hard accelleration because you use smaller wheels in the center and there is no support on the top in middle of the track because the wheels only touch the bottom.

Mountain Machines has a 8" big wheel conversion kit for the 121" Yamaha. Check them out at www.mountainmachines.com. Go to the freedom axle and click on Yamaha. They have some nice billet wheels too. Mountain Performance also has a 8"conversion kit. They also have 8" polyurethane wheels. Check them out about half way down the page at www.mountainperformance.com/yamaha_rear_suspension.htm
