TY 4 Stroke God
I cant find where Allen Ulmer said it, but I think it is 1/8 toe out for the Slydogs
http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=17420
I got a short run with Slydogs, in 45 degree softening hardpack, and tried 2 other skis as well.
SLYDOGS> light, great cornering, sled seems to ride smoother, still a little bit of darting, very good floatation, very easy steering effort.
SIMMONS> most resistant to darting, they seem to push in the corners initially (if you turn a little early, that seems to solve it) very heavy steering in certain conditions, can wear you out in a 250 mile day. 4" carbides seem to help vs 6". great floatation. Flexi ski tip helps absorb bumps
C&A Razors> great cornering, hard to turn in deteriorating conditions. Can still dart in deeply grooved soft hardpack. Nice ski
Stock> very bad darting on deeply grooved trails. Skis push and yet they can hook-up abruptly making the sled feel tippy. Keel is too tall and narrow and no outside ridges or fins to control how far the ski sinks in, and to counter act darting, bad floatation.
Didnt have the best conditions, so take my $.02 review with a grain of salt.

I installed a set of 4" dualies on my Attack. Eliminated all darting. But, I am still not happy with the handling. Still seems to push a bit. Going to be taking a long trip in two weeks and will play with suspension settings more. Leaning towards going with a pair of 6" dualies. I think the extra 2" would make all the difference. Man, that sounds bad.

1/8" toed-in for the Slydog skis with the sled sitting on the ground. I usually compress the front suspension slightly and then let it rise back up unassisted then adjust the toe-in.

MY 2 CENTS ON DARTING
Just got back from a short trip to Quebec. Ran stock ski's with Bergstrom triple carbides and ski savers. Toe is factory at 1/8 OUT. This thing darted so bad the whole time. It was borderline dangerous. Some of the secondary trails are a bit narrow, and I was reluctant to take my left hand off to signal on coming riders. It was also really hard to turn, then it would breakaway. Cornering was horrible. I think with these, there is too much hanfing down into the snow between the thick bar and the ski saver. The steering was way too heavy.
Got back to camp in NY where they got 3 ft on Sunday night / Monday. Installed a set of dual carbides, and pulled the limiter up to #3.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Darting is 90 % gone. It's at least good enough to ride one handed. Hooks better in the corners gthanks to the additional ski pressure. BOTTOM LINE: THE DOOLIES WORK.
There might be something to be gained from aftermarket skis, but I have not decided if I need them that bad.
