I ended up making a deflector out of a piece of aluminum pipe. It does help with deep snow bogging, particularly when doing right hand side-hilling.

I've got the sandale and there's virtually no bogging now. My wife's sled is stock and it's terrible.

Any opposition to an aftermarket fuel controller? Lean the top end out a little and I'm guessing Ulmer has a map for the airbox mod and a new pipe. I think he was charging $20 for maps which is a song compared to dyno time.
