Just picked up an 07 attack with 2300 miles. Need help with upgrades all chassis and suspension upgrades are done looking on the performance side what's the best.
I was thinking Cr10k plugs pc v with ignition module air box mod and clutch kit anything else I should look into? I'm a very aggressive trail rider that rides all over michigan.
Also do I have to take the headlight pod off to get the the plugs
Thanks

- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
I'd save the money for the issues this year has. I own 2 of them.
Biggest issue is the Y Pipes. You will be needing them anywere from 3 to 5 k miles. Copper donuts as well.
Also you'll need a rear cooler as it will over heat often on you unless conditions are perfect.
Wheels will be needed as well. They made cheap non replaceable bearing wheels on this year.
Front wheel kit because the Hyfax will wear down fast there.
If you stud it you'll need 1 1/2 in protection over the rear cooler or you'll hit.
I'd get a Yamiheater for the grips. Makes a big difference. This year wasn't too good.
I'd replace the fuel relay on that to newer style.
W arms should be beefed up and powder coated by Half Bake here. They crack. That's around $200
I put a 4 wheel kit on mine because of the wheel issues.
Probably don't need front bushings yet but soon. That's another $100 plus labor. Skid bushings too. OEM's are plastic and wear fast.

When I had my 06 gt, I had the following. Full Hauck header, and quiet exhaust, ulmers clutch, pcv, air box mod, and I dropped a tooth for a better low end. She flat out ran awesome! Check the classifieds here to save yourself some dough, or call ulmer. I believe you could get you best bang for the buck getting everything but the exhaust if you want to do it in increments.

X2, yes you will have to take off the headlight to do plugs.

As a side thought if you want to save dough a pc3 would work for this and save money. If you are not doing boost you could get away with the older power commander to add fuel for the air box mod

So plugs air box mod pc v with ignition module and clutching
Should get me thru this year then exhaust for next year with gaskets
what's the "best" exhaust out there for my ATTAK that gains hp but is not stupid loud
already have the beef up extra wheels and will be getting relay ASAP for peace of mind

Ask ulmer. He can then give you an upgraded map later for your pcv when you upgrade
