best pipe for Nytro?

I have removed off topic posts. If you do not like pipes, DO NOT COMMENT, unless that IS the topic.

Thanks,

Is there a way to take a Yosh slip on and make it more quiet? I have a turbo so the exhaust will not effect my performance i just want it a little quieter and lighter than what came with the MCX kit.

Wonder it you could fab up a r6 shorty slip on to work on the stock nytros? It would lose a ton of weight and look trick as well, i think im gonna look into it, and it only costs 200.

Looking at going with the AAEN Mega Power Silencer. I like the fact that it is ceramic coated inside and out, 7lbs lighter, quality and Aaen is claiming HP increases.

Anytime you put a quiet core into these aftermarket mufflers, ALL the power gains are washed out. I know with basically any atv pipe (same thing) the stock pipes make as much power as the aftermarket ones with the quiet cores in them. Some lose power, because the quiet core is nothing more than a flow reducer. Its great to be quiet, but if you are looking for power its probabely going to have added noise.

I've built several 4 stroke exhausts with this exact pipe and they sound great and work great as well. The very first one I did I had it ceramic coated but I wouldn't bother doing that again, just paint it with heat paint. I think the Nytro would be simple to do and still exit through the stock location. I'm doing an exhaust right now with an Excell header from a Vector which exits straight down the center of the sled and one of those Ebay Fireball exhausts that look like a Hauck. I think it's going to work pretty well. If you check Excells web site and look at the dyno sheets for the Rage/Vector/Nytro from 06 most of his gains on the carbed motor come from the header not the muffler. I'd be willing to bet the same holds true on the Nytro. I laid my stock 08 Nytro header on top of a stock 06 Vector header and they are virtually identical except for a few bends. The problem with the stock headers is the primary tubes are too small so the power falls off on the top. The smaller tubes are great for throttle response just not peak power. The optimum size for the Nytro by theoretical calculation is a primary tube with a 1.42" ID or roughly 1.5" OD which is pretty close to what the Excell header is. I guess we'll see when the snow flies.

My opinion is that bang for buck the Excell system is the best out there on the market. Not only has he proven gains, but I've seen them first hand. Too many people slap a pipe on and get mental hp out of it. If you want a noisemaker that's fine, I wanted performance and a nice bark. I got both. ONLY Excell has actually shown this out of all the aftermarkets I've seen.

Not to mention that you spend 10k on a sled and then throw an aftermarket on it leaving a big ugly gaping hole. The Excell plastic looks better than stock. That to me is quality. Plus the Police look at it scratch their head and wave you through. Kinda obvious with the big gaping hole. But to each his own.

Any yosh pipe is the same . i spoke with yosh on their customer support line and they explained to me that the can on an r6 is the same as a r1 they just have different connecting pipe sizes and bends to accomidate . The rs5 is a nice pipe ... and sounds perfect on a nytro ...
