I knew what I was getting when I bought the Warrior. So I am not surprised it pushes or ski lifts more than my previous Yamahas which did not have a 1 1/4 " Ripsaw 136" Track.
My main concern is my wife had a stroke and does not have the strength she used to, and even if she did, she does not like riding in the trenches the stock Warrior Skiis leave on the trail.
I 95% trail ride at mostly moderate speeds.
I would like in order of importance;
Smaller trenches for my wife to deal with riding behind me.
Less push in the corners.
Less Ski lift.
No darting in crusty powder.
Better flotation.
Easier steering in case my wife wants this sled.
Needless to say I don't want anything worse than what I have.
I need suggestions guys. Please list the good and bad qualities of skiis
you have used on a Warrior or similar sled that might help me out.
What about these Doo Precision skiis? Anyone got them on a Warrior?
Do you have to get them from a Doo dealer?
Another vote for the Simmons Flexi-ski. Rode last season with the stockers on my 03 shorty, and this season with Simmons. A much better ride with the Simmons; hardly any ski dart, skis still on top of the snow in power conditions, just a tad push in the corners, easy steering. The skis are $400 US and well worth it.
