Best tall Windshield for Attak

Would you guys get the cobra brand or the yamaha tall windshield?

Check and seeif the cobra needs any kind of braces in order to be installed correctly,if it does than its just a personal thing,which one looks better,and gives better protection,because the apex/attak needs the brace to be installed,but cobra over the past has had some nice stuff.

I went with the Cobra, no braces, works fine, even survived a sled roll over.

I find with the stock windshield you get blasted right in the head. With the tall cobra windshield the blast goes right over your head. You may experience some draft on your back, but overall it's a good choice when it's dam cold out.

I have the Yamaha tall with the braces. Ugly as all get out but works. I only use it when riding in Quebec when its supposed to be really cold. Last year at -40 I was glad to have it!!! Normally I run the Yamaha mid-height windshield. That works fine for most conditions and looks a lot better!

i had the cobra tall. Didnt like it because the wind still nicked me in the top of the head and it isnt very wide so the wind hit the edge of the handlebars taking alot of the heat away on the colder days. I went back to the Yamaha medium shield. I would go with the Yamaha tall shield if you are looking for all out wind blockage.

Had the tall cobra did not like it. Was taller than stock mid height but was narrower. so hand got colder. Put on the ex-tall from Yamaha , it is the best, warm and very little wind.

I have the extra tall from yamaha with the braces. Its ugly. Its effective. It wont fit in my covered trailer

DITTO! thats what my old man uses when hes in quebec. Works great. When hes in Ontario he uses a Yamaha Medium.

Depends on how much wind protection you want? Venture Gt windshield will fit & nothing more protective than that screen but huge windshield. I considered Venture windshield after frostbite on my face but now wear medical tape on my cheeks. If I get lesions again this winter Venture GT windshield going on for sure. The Venture GT windshield looks huge but really not bad to sit behind at least on Venture you can still see over it & seat simular height to Apex.

Last year I installed the tall factory Yamaha windshield on my 2007 Attak GT and it's great!

I have a long torso so the air blast directly from the front skimmed the top of my helmet. This season I'll CAREFULLY heat the top 30mm of the windshield edge and try to bend it forward about 30mm, to direct the airflow higher.
