What is the best all-around track for an 03 RX1 with ECP and clutch kit? I typically run trails and some lake running.
I'm still running the stock track with 144 studs with angle double backer plates. To me it runs well - though can always need more traction down low - though at what sacrifice at mid/top end?
I think that I'm going to need a new track in the next one/two years, and since I plan on only keeping the sled for two more years before upgrading/trading in - I thought it may make sense to get the new track now instead of selling it with a 1 year old track on it.
I've been looking at the 1.25 pre holed drilled Ripsaw - but have never owned a 1.25" track before - and worried about the longer studs bending/not holding up.
Any comments on the Hacksaw or Predator? Or is it better to save the $800 and put it towards the new sled (could help justify trading a year earlier!)? or spend the money on a Bender rear suspension upgrade?

Camoplast 9837H or 9837H 144 for the pre drilled. I think 1" is plenty for trails and lake running. 1.25" will take top end speed. The Six Pitch is a great track with a wide base lug for less bending and breaking. The Ripsaw has a narrow base lug which lets it bend and break faster. JMO
I also run the ECP and Clutching and I've seen 128mph with the 9837.

I have the stock ripsaw on my Warrior with 3000 miles and no issues. I have 168 studs including studs in the outside rows and the thing still looks new. As for top speed, that is the whole idea of the rip saw. Its ment to have 1.25 traction with the speed of a 1.0 track. I don't think you will be giving up much with the saw over a 1.0 track.
I am in the middle of building my RX and I am adding a Bender RA suspension, Hauck pipe and I went with the Kimpex shotgun track 1.25". The lugs are stiffer and will protect the longer studs. The 1" camoplast on the sled always felt like there was so much more traction to be had. The sled is apart and spread across the garage floor. Been waiting 2 months for the bender RA suspension (still not shipped) and 4 wks for the hauck pipe. The track is studded and ready to go in. Can't wait to see what she will do on her 1st run. Have a new RTX that is just unbelievable, I hope the RX is 50% of that sled when its done or I am going to sell it and buy a 2nd RTX. The wife needs a sled ya know.

I'm not that impressed with the ripsaw. The lugs rip off of it really easily. A 3-pitch camoplast is a better track - much more durable, and even better traction, particularly off-trail (which is where you REALLY need lots of traction)
Hey Brian have you had the shotgun out yet? I am still waiting on my Bender rear suspension and can't wait to feel the new setup. Just wondering what this hookup will be like.

Which would hook up better with 144 studs?
Preditor 9837H 1.0" 37 lb Six Pitch
http://www.camoplast.com/index.php?sect ... &scatid=52
Or the TrailSport - 3 pitch design - 9877 (I suspect this is what you were referring to Lazy)

Also, what does the 3 or 6 pitch mean/refer to?
Should I be looking a a fully clipped or every 3rd window?

Can't honestly answer that question but I can tell you the 9837 has darn good traction. Have run that track for three years and love it! Also use the fully clipped track with some no slip drivers. (Great Combo)

Lugs ripping of the rip saw?????????? I don't think so. Like I said, 3000+ miles with out an issue.

I agree with LB about the ripsaw track! The lugs rips off easily! I have approx. 2000 miles on my 04 Warrior and there´s already missing big chunks of the lugs in several places on the track!
The ripsaw may look durable but it aint as durable as it looks! And there´s not enough traction in the deep stuff(check out my avatar)! I´m thinking about buying the new camoplast crossover track and 144" my warrior. Bigger lugs, bigger footprint, way better traction!!!
