Best trail skis for a Phazer?

Porkchop, what about the 6"er's didn't you like? What conditions were they too aggressive in? When I ordered my curves at the end of last seaon, 6" was all they had so whatever you're seeing I'm going to see this season.

Basically on a really hard/ ice packed trail I found them biting alot more in the corners and steering was compromised, on "normal" snow it wasn't bad.
I had the same issue when using the shapers on my '04 F5 Firecat with the Curves but dealt with it by leaning more, the Phazer's pretty much been the same way but it "pushes" way worse. It digs in and just won't turn that easy.

I'd like to try a different style of normal ones this year, have to see what will fit on them.

Anyone have experience with 6" tripple point Bergstroms on their phazer?

I love my slydog! I have the powder hounds but they still work grate on the trails.

X2 - It is the only ski I have tried besides stock and they are a big improvement. I think the PH would actually be better than the trail ski because when the trails get soft they will help to keep you out of the tracks.

yes, but they are on my MTX which have alot deeper keels than the short track skis so I don't need an aggressive bar like the sharpers. I love my bergstroms, bite well on ice and show only a small amount of wear at 2000 miles. With the ski savers and shims about 90% of my darting is gone.

I have a MTX too and was thinking about going with the 6" tripple points. Sounds like you like them so I'll pick up a pair.
thanks
