I'm new to my 09 Nytro. It came with the new Tuner skis, but the carbides are shot. Any input on decent carbides for these skis? I ride 99% on northern New England trails. So, groomed, hard and flat. Thanks.

Get the Woodys for the tuners don't use Yamahas.

I've got 4" in & outside, I like way it handles.
Came with new Yamaha ones on it, been 1100 miles now- started to wear down but I've rode on some snirty/ rock stuff early in the season.

I hear Woodys but haven't looked into getting new ones yet, what is there for a difference?

114 studs in my XTX and am loving my 6 inside and 0 outside.

No studs on my 2012 xtx and running 6" shapers on each keel. Was worried this was too aggressive, but its been great on tight corners.

I've gone thru my last set on my tuners 4 each keel
Got square bar 6 and round 4
For tight cornering would you put 6 inside for better bite?

Its entirely up to you and your riding style as well as trail conditions. Some people may change them several times in a season depending on the conditions. I personally wouldnt go with less than 6" on the inside. This is the first time I have ran the square shaper bar and I like them.

My suspension components are basically stock, so if you have any suspension mods, what you prefer may be totally different. Also, Im not studded, so I rely on a little more bite in the front so the rear follows. Especially on hard pack and icy trails.

Studboy 4.5/7.5 2010 rtx se 144 studs supercharged with remap . Ride old forge ,N.H and ME turn your ski rubber around . The sled feels like power steering .
