Hey all!
New to this forum, well I have been reading and reading all the posts I can get my hands on and looking through all the pics and uploads but this is my first question in Apex talk!
I really want better acceleration without loosing half the sled in weight reductions, what is my next step? :sled1:
...and yes I have removed everything behind the seat for a clean tail aswell! :)

FYI.
My setup atm:
Betterboards
Ulmer racing Airbox
XXXmodrods Vent kit
Excell racing undertunnel exhaust
Costom made dropbrackets

Stock clutching and gears.

The lightweight battery and Skinz lightweight seat is on the way!

This is my 3rd four stroke so far from Yamaha! :4STroke:

THANKS!

Gearing and chain

Btw! I have looked through some threads about the gearing of these beasts, but there isn't any thread that says what type of chain we are using, only length, not the width? Is it 13 plates or what? My OEM setup in this Mountain SE is 22/40 with reverse according to my dealer.

Found some part numbers that I was interested in but www.yamahapartsonline.com said that the sprockets does not fit? :o|

Ex:
21T Sprocket 89J-17682-10-00
21T Sprocket 8AY-17682-10-00
20T Sprocket 8AY-17682-00-00

Anyone of these fit my machine?

Thanks!

No response... :l

Well since 100ppl have looked in the thread and no response yet, I guess this thread is dead then...

FYI. I bought a 21T upper sprocket for a start.

What elevation are you running at? What type of riding are you doing?

Elevation and powder

Hi,
Elevation is around.. hmm my best guess 3000-5000 ruffly and I live in northern Sweden, atm we have around 4 feet of snow, I ride in the hills and in the powder most of the time. :)

Thanks,

Hah boost is more of a cost issue atm

Ulmer clutchkit?Booooooost ;-)

I wish for the boost next season, atm I really want some more "power" in the deep powder, especially from the start in the deep! :)

what is your track ? Extreme or maverick ?

You can search for snowfever thread, i've followed is clutching and that gave me much much more acceleration.

i've ran in my apex and Nypex without turbo

19/40
8bu-00 weight (maximum weight possible on the heel for your elevation) i put a 17.2 rivet -4.2
15mm roller
gr i think
pink-pink-pink spring long
Cam 42-37 with a green spring(not sure, the one before the white)

with my extreme and nypex, am equal with my Pro-Rmk 2013 or a Summit 800 ETEC on acceleration.

But i have some weight reduction and an exhaust.
