Bibs or pants

Any one use the Castle Fuel Pants? How are they. They also make a should strap kit for them, will this help with the cold gut? LaLaLa

I'm kinda leaning towards the klimate bib now, but that tiny front zipper makes it seem like trail side stops may take some effort. Why the heck can't they put the zipper all the way? Does any one have problems with the straps falling off their shoulder?

i just purchased the competition bibs in the yamaha catalogue, very nice,i'm impressed with the quality and they fit great, they are made by fxr, also bought the klimate gore-tex gloves,i'm ready for winter

pants

I wear the castle fuel pants, my wife wears the castle fuel pants and so does my 15yr old boy. We all love our castle fuel gear. We do not get cold or have the issue of the cold gut problem..

i have castle pants. i used to wear bibs. i switched for a few reasons. 1) the damn straps always fall off my shoulders. and they kinda hurt and bug me after a long night of riding. 2) i got way to hot wearing bibs, and there were no vents to open. 3) they were a p.i.a when i stopped anywhere. got to hot wearing them, and when i tookthem down around my waist they would fall down all the time.
pants. way more comfortable. more mobility. better venting control. yes when its really cold out bibs are definately warmer, but i do good wearing under armour cold gear, pants and usually a t shirt and fleece.

so its pants for me

I tried on some klim klimate bibs and the extreme pants. The klimate bibs don't fit my body shape for beans, but the extreme pants fit well and are very light. That stuff is expensive though. FXR has some tetratex pants (Vertical model) that are supposed to be like goretex but cheaper. Any one try those? Or the castle incline pants that use some other breathable membrane.

I use some Cat pants I bought a few years ago when I used to ride Cat. I ordered them on an online special without realizing that they were just a shell. When they showed up I was concerned that I would be cold in them but with a couple of layers underneath I have yet to get cold legs. My upper body never gets cold since I wear a Tek Vest underneath my FXR jacket.
