Just found this on Amsnow Posted by Intimidator
Just recieved a call from up there and the results are not good. The information is as follows. 7" of snow on top of water and slush. Chances of plowing not good. If things change I will get called again, but for now I will not be going up. If I do not post another update things have not changed. Hopefully next weekend will be better. Jim

Noaa forcast for tonight.
I've been plowing lakes for years.
If there's 7" of snow on slush, then the out look for even decent conditions is poor at best. If the track was opened up and allowed the air to get at the surface then we'd have a shot. Plowing slush is like plowing wet concrete!!

It's been so quiet from the pack. We can't drive 4 hours for me and 5 hours for Ted unless we know the conditions are good.

I did not get as far as Big Moose but 4th Lake was perfect, smooth and icy. We just got in from riding on it 5 min ago. I don't know what kind of conditions are needed for Ted and the other big boys to run, but "stock" sleds like mine could go from end to end at max speed.

I've been hoping that someone would update the conditions. I appreciate the rapeape's input, but reports from TY group that set this up would be nice. Where are you guys?? Oh Yeah....probable still in the bar.
