Big Wheel Kit for Apex/Monoshock ?

During the off season I would like to go to a 128" x 14" track with 8 or 9" wheels, however the only offset axle kit I can find is from Avid and it requires the push from front track tensioner. Has anyone had any success with installing a big wheel kit? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
