What kind of track are you wanting to put on it?

Your not going to be able to stretch a 162 to anything with a just a big wheel kit. Without changing drivers your next track choice is a 174. Id ditch the maverick and get a CE 162x2.5 I know motleyone over on snowest had a Timbersled rear suspension with iceage rails for a 162 and would powdercoat to any color youd like for a steal of a price.

You can run as big a wheel as you like and it will eat up track, but it won't give you anymore traction, you'll just be spinning a heavier track with more of it in the air from the big wheels.
If you must have a longer track, I would get rail extensions set up for 8" wheels.
174 is the next size up, most people don't like the 174 without a turbo so I wouldn't bother unless you are going to turbo.
