hey, nice pics there, quite the campground we had there, there are so many rivers, creeks and lakes to keep busy for a year in that area, did you make it to matachewan that weekend

We didnt get all the way to Match because of a overflowing creek up near the north end , but we definatly had a good time trying visiting some of the old abanded mine sites and back lakes
Here is a couple more

pretty wicked pictures, ive been to that abandoned mine before if im not mistaken, you should check out the old asbestos mine site about 35 km behind matachewan, there are no buildings left but alot of rock piles still ,there are many lakes and lots of trails to ride, its actually the snowmobile trail that goes to grassy lake road,my dad and uncles worked there in the 70's to build the mine, once they were done, the mine operated for a year & 1/2 then closed down for good cuz they discovered that asbestos is very dangerous to your health, that was a good blow for the economy in that area, sad, but it turned out in a access road to lakes and a sled trail for all of us to enjoy, woops, sorry to bore you with such a long story

I like to get all the info I can on the TATA system so when I get up to play I know the best routes to go on , Grassy road is one smokin
sled trail , cant wait to ride it again this winter :4STroke:

well, that trail im talking about behind matach goes directly to the grassy trail, coming from timmins on the grassy towards gowganda, you can make a left turn at a certain point and go directly to that mine im talking about,of course in the summer you cant do it cuz you have to cross campbell lake,im sure youve ridden that trail in the winter,it is awesome also when its freshly groomed
