Yamaha WILL cover my broken sled!
That's right, straight off the presses.

If you've been following my "broke my sled again" thread then you are up to snuff. If not, then read it so i don't have to explain the WHOLE thing again......i'm a little tired.

After Yamaha said they wouldn't cover my broken suspension piece that tore my tunnel, i called my dealer to plead my case. I didn't yell, i didn't get mad, i simply explained that to keep me as a customer i needed to be supported by MY dealer. I told him if he said it was a "defective" part because there was no sign of IMPACT they would warranty it......and they DID!

Boy what a good day it's been.
I was woken up by my new fling to "start her day off on a good note" as she put it.
Went to the gym. Had 3 breakfasts before 9:00. After 3 more meals (i have a high metabolism) my dealer told me the news.

I was soo happy i texted some TY members pics of sledding in the sunset to remind them there is only 8 months left.....poor BEERMAN.......i make him nuts!

That's some good news Steve!

I gave my dealer the AC #'s for the beefed up parts. I told him i'll cover the cost.

I actually believe the dealer didn't understand how to handle it until i explained it to him.

Good news steve. Glad it worked out.

8 more months to ride.......but only five to hunt :-)

Excellent news! Glad it worked out for you, glad the dealer did what is right for a customer. I am going to be installing the heavy duty parts as well.

Actually you make me smile, especially this news!!

5 months of fishing, riding my bike & ripping apart my Apex so i can sell it to my cousin.
3 months of hunting & working on my 'Winders venting & clutch issues.
Then Christmas.

Then New Years in the County on my new & improved Sidewinder.
Then i'll see if i can get the BEERGOD to come to Maine for the "Millinocket Experience".
Then Yamaha will introduce their all Japanese sleds.
Then fishing, bike then hunting etc....etc....
Lather , rinse, repeat.
Life is just flying by kids. Live while you're alive.....'cuz you can't live when you're dead!

Good news indeed. I love a happy ending:)

Great News Steve, and good for your dealer and Yamaha for doing the right thing.
And Yes, my motto...... "Enjoy life while You are here, You are not getting out alive".

They did the right thing congrats. Now you can rest easy. Although it sucks we still have to re-engineer these things.

Your persistence and their common sense prevailed !

Now maybe a recall!! Ha Ha Ha......
